India Signs Mega Deal with IAI for Missile Defence Systems

NEW DELHI: Israel has signed a deal worth about US$2 billion with India to supply its army and navy with missile defence systems.
“Considered to be the largest defense contract in the history of Israel’s defense industries, IAI will supply an advanced air defence system, including medium-range surface-to-air missiles, launchers and communications and control technology, to the Indian army for around US$1.6 billion. IAI will also provide an additional naval defence system, including long-range surface-to-air missiles, for India’s first aircraft carrier, which is still being built,”  an official of IAI informs.
